Joseph Hodali is a Los Angeles-based director, editor, and visual artist. His work blends narrative filmmaking with fast-paced social and branded content, ranging from award-winning comedy to viral digital and social content for CBS, Snapchat, and top YouTubers.
He's a graduate of UCLA's MFA Directing program, where his live-action animated comedy series Overdude received the George Burns Comedy Award (2023) and was nominated by UCLA for the YUGO BAFTA Student Award in Experimental Narrative Filmmaking (2023).
His stories are rooted in his intersectional experiences and curiosity of other lives, and his aesthetic is shaped by years of practice across film, VFX, motion graphics, and digital media.
